Schneider takes two first at junior high meet

WEST BURLINGTON - The Holy Trinity junior high girls track team brought home some first place finishes and scored 31 points at the Falcons Co-Ed relays on Friday.

The Crusaders Raquel Schneider scored 20 of the points on her own for finishing first in the 400- and 800-meter dashes. She ran a 1:07.80 400 and a 2:53.90 in the 800 setting the pace in both of those events.

Ann Sobczak garnered four points with a 6th place finish in the 100-meter dash at 15.27 and 5th place in the 200-meter dash at 31.37. Kayla Box finished 6th in the shot put with a heave of 21'-9" and scored one point.

The Distance Medley team of Rachel Menke, Brooke Mueller, Mary Hellige, and Kayla Box scored two points with a 4th place with a time of 5:27. Two other relay teams scored points for the Crusaders. The 4x400-meter relay team of Menke, Hellige, Sobczak and Schneider finished fifth with a time of 5:03.03 and the 4x200-meter relay team of Box, Mueller, Hellige, and Menke finished at 2.19.13, good enough for a combined four points.
