City planning May 22 water outage

FORT MADISON - The City of Fort Madison has determined that to prepare for the upcoming reservoir rehabilitation, a new valve will need to be installed. This project is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 22 - weather permitting. From 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. water will be shut off in the following areas:

• Old Denmark Hill Top

• Old Denmark Road

• Old Denmark Hill

• 100 Block of 8th Street

• 100 Block of 7th Street

• Avenue C from 8th Street to 4th Street

• Skyline Drive

• Louis Street

• Ridgewood Drive

• Timberlane Drive

• Westwood Drive

• 303rd and 302nd Avenue north of the water tower to Airport Road

• This includes the Rathbun connection at Airport Road.

If this project is postponed due to weather, it will take place the next day.
