Donald G. Alexander, 80, of Lebanon, MO and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:45 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

He was born on January 2, 1938 in Granger, MO to Gene and Hazel Sheets Alexander. On February 28, 1959 he married Carol Wallace and she passed away on October 6, 1983. He then married Sheila Puckett on January 31, 1987 in Springdale, AR. Don worked at DuPont and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of Second Street Baptist Church in Lebanon, MO and enjoyed going to auctions and being outdoors. Don was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Alexander of Lebanon, MO; a son, Daniel (Sheila) Alexander of St. Clair, MO; a daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Oeftreich of Davenport, IA; three step sons, Elmer (Denise) Puckett Jr. of Ft. Madison, Chester (Linda) Short of Greenville, MS and Tommy (Laura) Puckett of Pontoosuc, IL; a step daughter, Jenette (Neil Brown) Weiler of New Boston, IA; a god daughter, Angie (Curtis) Stein of Ft. Madison and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, a brother and a sister.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Jamie Stout officiating. The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
