FM City Band Season Opener Sunday

FORT MADISON - This Sunday in Central Part at 7:30 pm the Ft. Madison City Band will be starting their summer concert series with the opening concert sponsored by Lyle and Gwen Brown.
Fort Madison is one of the few communities in Iowa and the Midwest that is fortunate to still have a City Band. Since 1930, the Fort Madison City Band has been bringing enjoyment to young and old alike with their summer band concerts.
So bring a lawn chair, blanket, picnic or use the provided benches and listen to the band performing works such as: Home arranged by Michael Brown, Cotton-Eyed Joe arranged by Chris Sharp, Can't Buy Me Love (medley of the Beatles) arranged by Paul Murtha, Nine to Five, Time to Beguine by William Rhoads, Lemon Merengue by Hugh Stuart, and classic marches by John Philip Sousa including King Cotton, The Picadore March and Call to Victory.
