Robert Dana Heagy, 64, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 23, 1954 in Carthage, IL to Robert Dale & Paula Jo Wooters Heagy. He married Renita Rae Kirchner on June 20, 1998 in Fort Madison, IA. He worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company as a plater “A” for 23 ½ years and later worked at the Scotts Company until 2016. He served in the U.S. Army. Two of his favorite things were playing basketball and video games, both of which he was very good at.

Dana is survived by: his wife: Renita Heagy of Fort Madison, IA; 1-step daughter: Georgina Gordon of Fort Madison, IA; 1-step grandson: Ivan Dean Gordon of Fort Madison, IA; 1-sister: Melissa (Terry) Beckler of Illinois; 1-brother: Mark (Lisa) Heagy of Virginia; his mother in law: Ruth Kirchner of Fort Madison, IA; 1-sister in law: Lori (Harlan) Pundt of Donnellson, IA & 1-brother in law: Jerry Kirchner of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 with the memorial service to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Evelyn Dustin officiating.
