LCCB to hold duck blind draw

MONTROSE - Lee County Conservation will hold a Duck Blind Drawing on Thursday, June 21st at 6:30 p.m. at the Lee County Conservation Center. The blind locations will be located on the county-owned islands near the river channel. There are 12 blind spots available for hunters to choose from during the drawing.

The new annual permanent blind rules for the county-owned islands were developed and recommended to the Lee County Conservation Board by the Duck Blind Committee. The Duck Blind Committee hopes that waterfowl hunters will embrace these rules to ensure the tradition of annual permanent blinds may remain an option for hunters on this portion of the county-owned river properties. The Lee County Conservation Board has agreed to implement these rules for one year. If the program is successful, they will continue the program on an annual basis.

Hunters interested in the blind drawing are encouraged to visit www.leecounty.org to review the blind rules and the map of the blind sites prior to the drawing. For more information on the blind drawing, hunters should call the Conservation Center at (319) 463-7673.
