CITY BAND PLAYS SUNDAY

FORT MADISON - This Sunday in Central Part at 7:30 pm the Ft. Madison City Band will be continuing their summer concert series with a concert Sponsored by Connection Bank and Chalk Ridge Vineyard. Music will include The NC-4 March by Bigelow, Exaltations by James Swearingen, Appalachian Expedition by Chris Bernotas, Where the Black Hawk Soars by Robert W. Smith, The Trombone King by Karl King, The West Wing, Summertime from Porgy and Bess, The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini, Light Cavalry Overture by Fillmore, and the Clear Track Polka.

TRAIL MEETINGS SET

LEE COUNTY - The Mississippi and Des Moines Rivers SET Confluence Region of Lee County, Iowa, Clark County, Missouri and Hancock County, Illinois will kick off county trails and routes planning on June 12thand 13th. There will be three 90-minute public planning sessions; Tuesday, June 12, 3 p.m. at Lee County Conservation, Tuesday, June 12, 6 p.m. at Kahoka Fire Department and Wednesday, June 13, 9 a.m. at Carthage City Hall. The public is invited to attend any of the sessions to provide input for all 3 counties.

Child's Immunication Clinic

Lee County Health Department will be holding a Children’s Immunization Clinic June 14 at Trinity Methodist Church, 2330 Plank Road in Keokuk from noon til 4:30pm. The clinic is open to children who have no insurance, are insured by Iowa Medicaid, or those who have private health insurance that does not cover the cost of vaccines. Written parental consent is required for minors to receive vaccinations when in the care of another adult. Free lead testing is available for children ages 6 months to 6 years who reside in Iowa.
