Norbert Sebastian Grelk, 73, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1945 in Fort Madison, IA to Lloyd & Catherine Walljasper Grelk. He met Christine E. Selser in the early 1970’s in Fort Madison and they were later married. He was a truck driver for Gabeline Trucking for 45 years and was also a volunteer fireman for the Yarmouth Fire Department. He enjoyed having coffee and visiting with friends and time with his grandchildren.

Norbert is survived by: his wife: Christine Grelk of Fort Madison, IA; 3-daughters: Alesia “Lisa” Hayes of Fort Madison, IA, Diana (Tristan) Brecount Daytona, FL & Susan (Eric) Selser of St. Paul, MN; 1-son: Chris (Kassie) Grelk of Fort Madison, IA; 10-grandchildren; 8-great grandchildren; 1-great great grandson; 3-sisters: Eileen Vorwaldt of West Point, IA, Mary Umbarger of Mt. Vernon, IA & Barb Guenther of St. Paul, MN; 5-brothers: Duane Grelk of Donnellson, IA, Gary Grelk of Winfield, IA, Kenny Grelk of Fort Madison, IA, Bob Grelk of Houghton, IA & Paul Grelk of Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1-brother, Anthony.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Following the service, his body will be cremated by King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and a graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
