The following is a list of events currently going on in north Lee County as submitted to Pen City Current

City Band in the park

The Fort Madison City Band will be performing in Central Park on Sunday again the week beginning at 7:30 p.m. So bring a lawnchair and enjoy the music from local musicians.

LHLC picking up produce donations

Live Healthy Lee County will be at the Fort Madison Farmers Market from 5:30-6:00pm on Monday, June 18th to pick-up any donated produce for their Produce Box Project. Anyone with donations is welcome to bring them to the market. Donations can also be made at the following locations Southview Apartments (Donnellson), Heritage Center (Keokuk), Hillview Village (Fort Madison), Mississippi Terrace (Keokuk), Newberry Center (Fort Madison), Park View Apartments (West Point), and River Terrace (Keokuk). Fort Madison Depot Farmer's Market

Every Monday more 10 local vendors have farmer's market options available at the Old Santa Fe Depot on the Riverfront in Fort Madison. The farmer's market runs from until Oct. 8 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday.

Party on the Patio

On Friday, June 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Baxter Sports Complex. Free live music by Keating Hissem and Chaz sponsored by Sunnybrook Assisted Living. Food and drink specials will be available and all proceeds go towards community beautification efforts. Premier sponsor is Fort Madison Hy-Vee.

FMHS Athletic Booster Fundraiser

The Fort Madison High School Athletic Booster will be hodling a fried chicken dinner fundraiser at the Charleston Board of Trade on Sunday, June 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Adults are $10 and children under 12 are $6. Tickets for the event are available at the FMHS office weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon or at the door on the day of the event. Proceeds will help with costs of the new stadium pressbox.

ISU Extension Day Camp

Learn what it takes to create a new idea, develop a plan, and share your results through creativity, innovation, and communication. Participants will work in teams to develop an idea for making their community a better place to live. Grades 4th through 8th. West Point Library June 26, Keokuk Library June 27, Fort Madison Library June 28. Each session is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

KiDTEK University at SCC

Kidtek U, Southeastern Community Colleges, Summer Youth Camps are ready to keep your children engaged, learning, and having fun all summer long. Camps take place on June and July meeting Monday - Friday from either 9am - noon or 1 - 4pm. Camps are designed for kids of all ages: standard camps for students grades 4 - 6, and advanced camps for grades 7 - 9. Each week-long camp cost $179.
