Fort Madison Police Report

6/28/18 - 11:20 p.m - Fort Madison Police cited Malik Hausan Trotter, 23, unknown address, on charges of driving under suspension and excessive speed in the 1700 block of Ave. H. He was released upon citation.

6/29/18 - 3:59 a.m - Fort Madison Police arrested Cara Dawn Shaffer, 28, of Fort Madison on a charge of serious domestic abuse assault in the 300 block of 34th Place. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

Lee County Sheriff's Report

6/28/18 - 1:40 p.m - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Leann Rosalyn Briscoe, 38, of Keokuk, on a warrant of violation of probation at the Sheriff's office. She was taken to Lee County Jail and released on bond.

6/28/18 - 5:34 p.m - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested David Lee Davis, 40, of Jefferson City, Mo., on warrants of 3rd degree burglary and theft in the 2nd degree at the Algoa Correctional Center in Jefferson City. He was held in custody.

6/28/18 - 7:00 p.m - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Caprice Marie Schmidt, 28, of Keokuk, on warrants of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at the Lee County Sheriff's office. She was taken to Lee County Jail and released on a promise to appear.

6/28/18 - 7:57 p.m - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Stephanie Rose Beliel, 30, of Burlington, on a warrant of contempt- fail to pay fine/ cost at the Sheriff's office. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

06/28/18 - 8:43 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of X23 where a vehicle driven by Roger Lee Keller, 64, of Fort Madison collided with a deer in the southbound lane. No injuries or citations were reported at the scene.

6/29/18 - 7:02 a.m - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested William David Edward, 33, of Wyaconda, Mo., on a charge of being a fugitive from justice at the intersection of Hwys. 218 and 2. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

6/28/18 - Fort Madison firefighters responded to a report of five medical calls, one lift assist, two false alarms, and two power lines down.
