Erma “Red” Shelinbarger, 71 years, of Augusta, Iowa died at 7:20 am Friday, June 29, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. She was born July 28, 1946 in Melvern, Kansas, a daughter of Harold and Sarah (Smith) Shelinbarger.

After moving to Iowa, she drove a school bus for the Fort Madison School District. She worked approximately 38 years for the IAAAP. She loved hunting, trapping, fishing, playing cards, and was quite the storyteller.

She is survived by her adopted family: Carolyn Anderson, Jolisa & Clem Krogmeier and family; and Bill & Gina Anderson; traveling friends: Carolyn Anderson, Pauline Osborne, and Marlene Douthart. Other survivors include one brother, one sister, and four cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, with Pastor Chad Savage, officiating.
