Fort Madison City Band

The Ft. Madison City Band will perform a concert of Patriotic music on Wednesday, July 4th at 7:30pm in Central Park. The concert is sponsored by Pilot Grove Savings Bank.

The Band will perform the following selections: The Fourth Of July, Red's White and Blue March, My Country Tis Of Thee, Armed Forces Salute, Seventy Six Trombones March, Am American Tribute and Stars and Stripes Forever March. All military will be recognized during the Armed Forces Salute. Pam Hayes, Ft. Madison Middle School music teacher, will sing the Star Spangled Banner, Voices of America, Moon River and God Bless America. Please bring a lawn chair or sit on the benches provided in the park.

Fort Madison Depot Farmer’s Market

Every Monday more 10 local vendors have farmer’s market options available at the Old Santa Fe Depot on the Riverfront in Fort Madison. The farmer’s market runs from until Oct. 8 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday.

KiDTEK University at SCC

Kidtek U, Southeastern Community Colleges, Summer Youth Camps are ready to keep your children engaged, learning, and having fun all summer long. Camps take place on June and July meeting Monday - Friday from either 9am - noon or 1 - 4pm. Camps are designed for kids of all ages: standard camps for students grades 4 - 6, and advanced camps for grades 7 - 9. Each week-long camp cost $179. FMHS Fireworks Fundraiser

Get your fireworks supplies locally at the Fort Madison High School tent on the Hy-Vee parking lot. A percentage of all fireworks sales will go towards the cost of the new visitor’s side press box.Pen City Current will list your event in this highly visible CURRENT-LEE section in increments of 25 words for $15. Donnellson 4th of July Parade

Beginning at 6 p.m. is the annual Donnellson 4th of July Parade. Iowa Lt. Governor Adam Gregg will be in attendance at this year's event

Light Up the Sky on 4th of July

The annual Fort Madison Partner's Light up the Sky on 4th of July fireworks bonanza will take place in Riverview Park on Wednesday, July 4 with fireworks beginning at dark. Special parking and traffic regulations will be in effect along Avenue H from 6th to 10th Streets. The Elks Club will also be holding a burger and tenderloin dinner that night as well.

Lee County Conservation Directors' Hike

Lee County Conservation is hosting a Director’s Hike this Friday, July 6, 2018 at Pollmiller Park starting 9:00 a.m. Pollmiller is located on the east side of West Point along County Rd 103.

The hike will be led by Lee County Conservation’s Director, Nathan Unsworth. The event will begin from the main shelter house on the east side of the lake.

Lee County Fair
