Young Fort Players take stage July 19th

FORT MADISON - The Old Fort Players are proud to announce the cast for the Upcoming Children’s Production of their Summer Theater.

Commonly referred to as ‘The Young Fort Players’ they will present a one-act comedy entitled “Homework Eats Dog and Other Woeful Tales” written by Alan Haehnel and produced by permission of Playscripts, Inc. of New York, NY.

This production is made possible by a grant from The United Way of Great River Region serving Lee County. The production will be presented at the Old Fort Players Theater at 725 Avenue G in downtown Fort Madison, IA. The Young Fort Players is open to all area youth between the ages of 10 and 14 years and under the direction of Richar Abel with assistance from Angela Sanford.

The actors participating in the production are Xandra Abel, Sylvia Jerden, Jaden Tabor, Kerrington Wardlow, Zephan Abel, Mallory Troutman, CJ Tabor, Roni Vowels, Oliver Tackett, Lauren Otte and Ellington Karriker. Some actors will be playing multiple parts which makes this production even more interesting.

The curtain will open on July 19th and run through July 22nd. Admission for adults will be $7 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under. A $2 discount will be given at the door for each person that brings in a non perishable food item which will in turn be donated to Fort Madison Food Pantry. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. except for Sunday which is 2 p.m.
