Jake Anthony Stewart, 34, of Keokuk, IA died on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

He was born October 20, 1983 in Keokuk, IA the son of Charles Anthony, Sr. and Laura Malloy Stewart.

Jake had been employed by Henniges in Keokuk and most recently by Glen Meyers Driveway & Septic Tank Service in Keokuk.

He attended Apostolic Holiness Church in Keokuk.

Jake liked tinkering with things to see how they worked. He would take them apart, then put them back together. He was athletic and competitive and loved playing basketball, and football, and had played on the Keokuk High School teams. He also loved to go fishing with his grandma Stewart. Jake was a great dad and loved his children very much.

He is survived by six children, DeAndre Stewart, Domanick Stewart, Madison Stewart, Malachi Stewart, Ka-loni Stewart and Liam Stewart, his mother, Laura Malloy of Keokuk, his father, Charles Stewart, Sr., of Keokuk, three sisters, Amy Glover (Jason) of Keokuk, Rebecca Mason of Keokuk and his twin sister, Kayla Stewart of Waukee, IA two brothers, Charles Stewart, Jr., of Keokuk and Joseph Stewart (Kelsey) of Clive, IA, his grandfather, Greg Kase of Keokuk and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sharon Kase, David Malloy, Roy and Thelma Stewart, great-grandparents, Ed and Gladys Butler and Elmer and Louise Malloy.

A service of remembrance was held at 3 p.m., Saturday, (July 7) at the main shelter house in Rand Park. A time of food and fellowship followed the service.
