Marion O. Swearingen, 94, of Ft. Madison passed away at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at The Kensington.
SWEARINGEN
She was born on January 30, 1924 in Viele, IA to David and Susie Warehime Kudebeh.Marion married Irvin Kinkeade and they later divorced.She then married Ivan L. Swearingen on March 23, 1967 in Hamilton, IL and he passed away on November 5, 2017.Marion was of the Christian faith.She enjoyed crocheting, dancing and spending time with family and friends.In her younger years she enjoyed showing horses.She especially loved camping in her RV.
Survivors include three sons, Clinton (Arla) Derr of Sioux Falls, SD, Ronald (Bettie) Kinkeade of Danville, IA and Ivan (Ronda) Swearingen of Ft. Madison; seven grandchildren, Shane Derr, Cari Schmidt, Kendra Brockett, Kim Long, John Almendinger, Trina Menken and Jodi Gerst; several great and great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a grandson, Ryan Swearingen; four sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating.The family will meet with friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10:30 AM.Burial will be held in Soldiers’ Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
