Ronald R. Sanford, 76, of Ft. Madison passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
He was born on April 30, 1942 in Ft. Madison to Ralph and Francis Burwinkel Sanford.On March 16, 1968

he married Ann Klesener in Ft. Madison.Ron worked construction for Kramer Construction many years.Ron was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church, the NRA, Knights of Columbus, Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited.He enjoyed tinkering and could fix anything.He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Ron was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and loved his camouflage.He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Sanford of Ft. Madison; a daughter, Jill (Josh) Neuweg of Oak Grove, MO; four grandchildren, Tyler Neuweg, Katie Coffman, Jacob Coffman and Abby Neuweg; a great granddaughter, Paislee Lamborn; one brother, Dick (Jane) Sanford of Ft. Madison; two sisters, Judy (Steve) Feehan of Salem and Linda (Dale) Pollmeier of Ft. Madison; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Patty Coffman.
Friends may call after 2 PM on Friday, July 27, 2018 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will receive friends from 4-6 PM.There will be a wake service held at 6 PM.The funeral mass will be at 10 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church with Rev. Joseph Phung officiating.Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
