Task force arrests Fort Madison woman on meth charge

FORT MADISON - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Fort Madison, Iowa woman on felony drug charges.

Brooke Winn, 39, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on August 2nd, 2018 on the 1700 block of 303rd Ave on felony drug warrants. Winn is charged with 3 counts of delivery of less than five grams of methamphetamine, within 1000 Feet of a Park, class C felonies with enhancements. If convicted, Winn faces up to 45 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Winn stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Fort Madison Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
