Randy R. Carter, 64, of Ft. Madison passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 9:17 PM as a result of an accident.

He was born on June 21, 1954 in Des Moines to Frank and Marlene Clute Carter. On April 22, 1978 Randy married Patricia Beckert in Ft. Madison. Randy worked at Case Co. and retired after thirty six years of service. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Randy loved shooting trap and was a member of the Tri-State Gun Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going on poker runs, he was a strong supporter of ABATE. Most of all Randy had a passion for helping people, no matter what the situation was.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Carter of Ft. Madison; a daughter, Jessica (Damon Tripp) Carter of Colusa, IL; one sister, Rhonda Carter of Ft. Madison and one brother, Rory (Brandi) Carter of Ft. Madison; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Rodney and Rick Carter.

Friends may call after 2 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4:30-6:30 PM. A rosary will be recited at 4 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
