Vincent D. Michl, 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Council Bluffs, IA on the 13th of August 2018. Vince, as he was commonly known, was born on Christmas Day, 1953. His parents, Sylvester and Betty (Londrie) Michl, as well as his sister, Theresa Ringstrom and his brothers,Joseph (Joe) Michl and John Michl, all of whom were from Keokuk IA,preceded him in death.

Two nephews who were not from Keokuk, also preceded him in death.

Vince is survived by one brother, Stephen Michl of Guston, KY, and four sisters: Beth Ann Schaefer of rural Adair County, MO; Linda Greenstreet of Monmouth, IL; Michele Michl of rural Clark County, MO; and Mary Michl of Keokuk IA. He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.

Vince, who graduated in 1972, served as Student Council President his senior year at Cardinal Stritch High School. After High School, Vince had many jobs, ultimately working for andretiring from the Telephone Company after 36 years, most of which were spent in Council Bluffs, where he was an avid shooter and marksman, among other things. Vince also enjoyed the culinary arts and became quite an accomplished chef, impressing anyone for whom he cooked, with his expertise and passion.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Father Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery.
