FMCH names Hasek Employee of the Month for July

FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital recognized Ashley Hasek as its July Employee of the Month. Hasek is a nurse in the Surgical Services Department. She has been with FMCH for three and a half years spending the first two years as a nurse in the FMCH Clinics. Hasek was recognized with this nomination:

Hasek lives the Standards of Behavior at FMCH excelling at Guest Relations, Positive Attitude, and Commitment to Co-Workers. This employee came to us from another department to increase their horizons and did they ever! She soaked up everything we threw at her, going home to lookup procedures for the next day returning with notes! Her outgoing personality and commitment to co-workers was evident at the start. Always helps her co-workers without being asked. She receives multiple compliments form her patients for her compassion and soothing demeanor. Detail oriented, always looking for a better way to accomplish a task.

Hasek recognized Wendy Simpson, fellow surgical nurse, as someone who made a difference in her career at FMCH, “Wendy was my mentor who trained me when I firststarted working in surgery.She shared her knowledge with me and was patient and kindwhen doing so. She continues to be a great nurse to work with. All of my surgery co-workers are like family to me. We work welltogether as a team to take great care of our patients and have fun while doing so.”

Hasek enjoys spending time riding horses, roping and being active outside with her family when not at work.
