BURLINGTON - The Holy Trinity Catholic volleyball team has yet to lose a set this season as they rolled over Burlington-Notre Dame 25-17, 25-19, 25-5 on the road Monday night.

That record will be put to the test on Thursday when Van Buren, ranked 13th in Class 2A, comes calling to Shottenkirk Gymnasium.

The Crusaders, however, have a lofty No. 4 ranking in Class 1A and swept 9th ranked New London on Monday night.

On Thursday, senior Emily Box once again led the Crusaders at the net going 28-32 on attacks with 12 kills. But fellow seniors Taylor Boeding and Eryn Anderson went a combined 27-32 with 16 kills to present a formidable front line against the Nikes.

Sophomore Claire Pothitakis was 13 of 17 attacking with six kills. Sophomore Bailey Hellweg and Kassie Randolph combined for 36 assists on the night. Hellweg also set a pace for Holy Trinity from behind the line going 20-21 serving with two aces. Boeding went a perfect 15-15 with two aces and had 10 digs prowling the back row. Senior Elyse Pothitakis had eight kills for the Crusaders.

After Thursday's matchup with the Warriors at home, the Crusaders travel to Keokuk on Saturday for an invitational, before hosting the Holy Trinity Classic in Fort Madison on Monday beginning at 4 p.m.
