Phillip J. Ingebritson, 86, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 8:49 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. He was born on June 6, 1932 in Swea City, IA to Julius & Sylvia Robinson Ingebritson. He married Kathryn N. Malone on June 25, 1960 in Burlington, IA. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2018. He was an FDIC Bank Examiner for 7 years and then worked for Lee County Bank for 30 years, the last 9 as President, and continued thereafter as a Director. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was Past President of the Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Fort Madison Kiwanis Club, where he served as Peanut Chairman for several years.

Phil is survived by: 2-sons: John Ingebritson of Iowa City, IA & Mark (Kelly) Ingebritson of Highlands Ranch, CO; 2-grandsons: Matthew & Nathan Ingebritson; 3-sisters: Jean Shannon of Parkersburg, IA, Mary (Don) Maze of Marshalltown, IA & Susan (Jack) Cline of Waukee, IA and a number of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & his wife.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 with the family to receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Joseph Phung officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the funeral mass. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Burlington, IA. A memorial has been established for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
