FMMS 7th graders go 2-3 on the year

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison 7th grade team finished the season 2-3 with a 6-14 loss to Keokuk Tuesday night at home.

Teague Smith and Ike Thacher teamed up for the only Hound score on the night when the two hooked up on a 20-yard pass play. Smith completed eight passes on the night for 113 yards.

Henry Wiseman had four catches for 31 yards. Thacher and Ben Ramatowski each had two receptions for 40 yards and Marin Rose caught one ball for 22 yards.

The Hounds found a tough time running against the Chiefs with Smith leading the way with only 11 yards.

Smith had eight tackles, Wiseman had six and Joe Hartman had five to lead FMMS.

Ramatowski intercepted a pass and Thacher recovered a fumble to give the Hounds a couple of turnovers.

Two of the three losses by Fort Madison were by a touchdown.
