Shirley A. Hauck, 88, of Ft. Madison passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 3:07 PM at The Madison surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 23, 1929 in Ft. Madison to George and Florence Sawyer Burdette. On November 20, 1948 she married David L. Hauck in Ft. Madison and he passed away on January 27, 1995. Shirley was a homemaker. She also worked at Kempkers for seventeen years and Lampe Drug for several years. She was a member of

HAUCK

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Shirley made wedding cakes for numerous years and taught cake decorating classes. She enjoyed gardening and walking and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include three sons, Chris (Della) Hauck of Denmark, IA, Tom (Jane) Hauck of Princeton, IA and David Hauck of Ft. Madison; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Don Burdette of Donnellson and a son-in-law, Paul Crutchfeld of Ft. Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter, Pam Crutchfeld; three brothers and one sister.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory. A private family graveside service will be held in Oakland Cemetery with Reverends Shelley McKeehan and Marilyn Wentzien officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
