FMCH Hospice to host end-of-life planning seminar

FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital (FMCH) Home Health & Hospice Care along with the FMCH Foundation will be offering a free seminar on end of life planning entitled, “Looking Beyond the Now”.

This informative two-hour session will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Business Center Conference Rooms at FMCH.

This seminar will focus on three areas: health, wealth and final plans. Family Medicine Physician and Medical Director for FMCH Home Health & Hospice Care, Dr. Michael David and Debbie Green, Director of Home Health & Hospice Care will present on health.

They will cover chronic disease management through Accountable Care Organizations, Annual Medicare Screenings and Advanced Directives. Mio Santiago, Attorney with Redding & Santiago, PLC will cover the wealth portion, which will include Estate Planning and the importance of having a Will.

Finally, Heather O’Tool with King- Lynk Funeral Home will present the many options available for final plans. These include cremation versus traditional burial and planning your celebration of life.
