FORT MADISON - The following is full list of events happening in the north Lee County area as submitted to the Pen City Current.

FMMS Fall Festival

The Fort Madison Middle School Fall Harvest festival will take place Friday, Nov. 2 at the middle school from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature games, bounce houses, food and beverages, a photo booth, music and more.

Soroptomist Beer & Basket

A fundraiser for the Fort Madison Soroptomists at Lost Duck Brewing Co. Tickets can be obtained by calling Alice at 319-470-3773.

Young Professionals Food Drive

The Fort Madison Young Professionals will host a food drive on Nov. 1 at Kinnick South from 5 to 7 p.m. to help bolster supplies at the Fort Madison Food Pantry. Non-perishable food items, toiletries and monetary donations will be accepted.

P.A.W. Taco Supper Fundraiser

P.A.W. Animal Shelter will be holding a taco supper fundraiser at SunnyBrook, 5025 River Valley Road from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m, Friday, November 2. All meals include two fried soft tacos, spanish rice and a cookie. For orders of 10 or more call 24 hours in advance at 319-372-8611. $6 dine-in or carry out, $8 for delivery.

LCHD Senior Health Clinic

The Lee County Health Department will be holding a senior health clinic at Twin Oak Apartments in Denmark from 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m.

Main Street Wine Walk glass pre-sale

Wine Walk glass pre-sale at SiP (n) a coffee and wine bistro, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 9

Veteran's Breakfast at Sunnybrook

Each month on the third Tuesday of the month, Sunnybrook Assisted Living hosts a Veteran's Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at 5025 River Valley Road in Fort Madison.

Community Blood Drives

The following are November Fort Madison blood drives; Fort Madison Housing Authority Blood Drive from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Hillview Community Room at 1102 48th Street. Thanksgiving 101

The Fort Madison Public Library will host author Rick Rodgers "Thanksgiving 101", in a discussion Thanksgiving recipes Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

RSVP Nutrition Class

RSVP/United Way of the Great River Region is hosting a free-nutrition class at the Resource Center, 3421 Avenue L in Fort Madison on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. To sign up call 319-372-8043 or stop by the center.

Business After Hours

The Kensington and the Fort Madison Chamber are hosting a Business After Hours on Nov. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kensington 2210 Avenue H in Fort Madison, to celebrate the Kensington's 15th year in business in Fort Madison.

Community Thanksgiving

The annual Community Thanksgiving meal in Fort Madison will be held beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Madison High School on Thursday, Nov. 22 at FMHS. Volunteers and donations are needed. Email the chamber at chamber@fortmadison.com for details.

Coats for Hope 5K

The annual Coats for Hope 5K Fun Run will take place at the St. Paul Shelter House 2020 Locust St. on Dec. 1 beginning at 9 a.m. rain or shine. $20 entry fee or donating a children's coat in good shape. Lee County Conservation art program

Lee County Conservation is hosting a drawing program on Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Conservation Center at Heron Bend with art instructor Heidi Merrick from the Burlington Art Center. Pre-registration required by Nov. 28 by calling 319-463-7673. $5 per participant.
