Task force catches Keokuk man on ecstasy charge

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of two Keokuk, Iowa individuals on Felony drug charges.

EASTMAN

Michael Eastman, 48, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on October 30th, 2018 on a felony drug charge. Eastman is charged with distribution to persons under age eighteen, a class B Felony. If convicted Eastman faces up to 25 years in a state correctional facility.

In an unrelated matter, Quayson Talton,18, of Keokuk was arrested on felony drug charges. Talton is charged with two counts of delivery of ecstasy, both class C Felonies. If convicted Talton faces up to 20 years in a state correctional facility.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Keokuk Police Department, Department of Human Services, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
