Fort Madison jumped out to a 14-9 first half quarter lead and a 23-20 lead at halftime, but a sluggish third quarter where the Lady Hounds scored only four points, while Mathews and crew put up 16 had Fort Madison trailing 36-27 at the end of the third quarter. The Hounds would outscored the Redettes in the final period 17-15, but not enough to erase the 9-point deficit.

Hounds sophomore Maddie Rashid led Fort Madison with 12 points including two 3-pointers. Junior Sarah Bernhardt had nine points on the night. Junior Anna Kester added seven points, senior Jassmine Bass chipped in with six points, sophomore Nadia Boeding had five and senior Braxtyn McGhghy added three to round out the scoring for the Lady Hounds.
