Alliant accepting STEM Scholarship applications

FORT MADISON - Alliant Energy is now accepting applications through Feb. 15 for the company's Alliant Energy Innovations Scholarships in Iowa and Wisconsin.

Apply by February 15, 2019, for one of 25 $1,000Alliant Energy Innovation Scholarshipsin Wisconsin and Iowa.

To qualify, applicants must:

• be age 24 or younger
• be a dependent of a current customer, or current customer, of Alliant Energy
• submit a 300-word essay about an innovative idea to solve a problem in your community using science, technology, engineering and/or math
• send information for other criteria, which include participation in a leadership role in community service activities and volunteer work, academic grade-point average and standardized test scores.
