FORT MADISON - Heisman trophy candidate and All-American Iowa Hawkeye quarterback Chuck Long will be coming to Fort Madison for an evening with fans at the Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course.

Ryan McMillan, general manager and head professional at Sheaffers said the golf course will be the site of "An Evening with Chucl Long" on Tuesday February 12th and seats for the event are still available and would make great Christmas gifts.

The event is limited to 140 tickets and McMillan said there are only about 50 remaining.

LONG

He said Long usually has an event and book signing for his book "Destined for Greatness" at the Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington, but prior commitments to the Big10 hampered those plans this year.

"I'm on the Southeastern Community College booster club board and we've been able to get a few people to the area in the past. Chuck was going to be able to do that this year, but due to his commitments he has to be in Chicago on Fridays, when we normally do that event in Burlington. So I reached out to him and said let's just do it here and he said he could do that.

Doors will be open for the event at 4:30 p.m with dinner and social hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Long will speak for about 40 minutes starting at t p.m. and then a question-and-answer session will take place until 7 p.m.

Tickets are $50 per person and will include dinner, draft beer and soda. Seating is assigned in the order that reservations are made.

To purchase tickets or for more information, contact McMillan at the golf course at 319-528-6214 or by email at rmcmillan@sheaffergolf.com.
