Mr. Quinn Pence, 79, of Dallas City, IL died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 11:03 AM at his home.
He was born March 27, 1939 in Dallas City, the son of Virgil R. and Ethel Mae Dickson Pence. On February 20, 1974 he married Nancy Gilpin in Dallas City.

Quinn graduated from the Dallas City High School in 1957. He started farming at an early age and continued throughout his life. He also ran a saw mill for several years, cut timber and raised livestock. Quinn served on the Dallas City School Board for twelve years.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, three daughters, Twila (Jeff) Peitz of Fort Madison, IA, Gwen (Bill) Scanlan of Fort Madison, Amy (John) Curran of St. Louis, MO and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vanessa Ives, one brother, Dick Pence an infant sister, Bonnie Jo Pence, grandson Blake Scanlan, and his parents.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Pastor Aaron Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Thursday from Noon until time of services. A memorial fund has been established for the Dallas City Food Pantry.
