Keokuk man facing felony drug charge

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk, Iowa man on a felony drug charge.

Matthew J Soice, 32, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on Tuesday on a felony drug charge. Soice is charged with delivery of less than five grams of methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense, a class C felony with an enhancement. If convicted, Soice faces up to 30 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Soice stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and Keokuk Police Department, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
