FORT MADISON - The stockings are most definitely hung with glee at the Member Artist’s Annual Exhibition. The best artists in the Tri-state area have brought their best for the annual festive. Reception for this exhibition is December 14th from 5-7pm. Many of your favorite artists will be in attendance, as they enjoy the chance to catch up with one another while hearing the winners of the Best of Show, Best Photograph, Best Two-Dimensional, and Best Three Dimensional. The winners receive monetary stipends from the FMAAA Board of Directors without loss of piece. Besides the allure of the competition, the show provides an exceptional buying opportunity for that special someone, which may be yourself! Lee County Bank is the sponsor for the scintillating stylization combinations.

FMAAA is so pleased to showcase works from the following area artisans: Rebecca Butler, Kelly Peters, Dr. Marie Brady-Whitcanack, Ray McKee, Karla Mundt, Lois di Prima, Barb Zumdome, Harriet Souder, Annie Swarm Guldberg, Linda Ross, Molly Dillon, Tom Stack, Tim Laffey, Curt Swarm, Teresa Dearing, Jan&Dean Rockwell, Erika Wolfe, Linda Hardy, Carol Janosik, Craig Wills, Vicky Dovenspike, Bill Hall, PJ Hogan, Lori Illner, Brian Riggs, Heath McPherson, Maria Montalvo, Ron Deem, Jim Knapp, Deb Baughman, Carlene Atwater, Carol Gunn, Serena Stevens, Tim Van Ginkel, Kristine Souder, John Carlson, Jon Rhoades, and Susan Lawhorn. What makes this show so unique is the combination of all the works, mixing realism with contemporary and metal to wet felt. The show is always exceptional with this year yielding the same outstanding results.

Deck your halls with balls of bountiful holly on the other side of the museum with the Member Artist Gallery, showcasing works from over 90 artists in a two-hour radius from FMAAA. So many wares made from dexterous hands and creative minds. When prices are as reasonable or lower than big box, why by factory press widgets? Purchase the real deal. Or make you own Christmas gifts in the Place of Fire Glaze Studio. Our glazes are lead free and kitchen safe. Your mugs and platters are good to go in the microwave or dishwasher. Celebrate with the artists this Friday or anytime this month at Ft. Madison Area Artists Association. Annual Member Artist Exhibition carries into the first week of January as well due to school vacation.
