Hellige goes for 16 in 8th grade win

WEST POINT - Mary Hellige poured in 16 points as the HTC girls 8th grade team rebounded from a loss last week to Central Lee.

The Lady Crusaders downed Danville 35-6 in West Point. Alexa Dingman scored 11, Brooke Mueller had six and Jenna DiPrima added two. On Dec. 6, Hellige again led the Crusader with 14 points. Mueller had four and DrPrima, Kayla Box and Rachel Menke each had two points in a 35-24 loss.

The Holy Trinity 7th graders continued their winning ways with a 23-13 win over Danville and a 48-9 route of Central Lee last Thursday. Against Danville, Reagan Holvoet led HTC with 10 points. Mary Kate Bendlage and Natalie Randolph each had four and Breanna Peterson and Taegan Denning each scored two.

At Central Lee Peterson and Bendlage were each in double figures with 10 points. Holvoet had eight, Randolph, Denning and Jenna Hellman each had six. Jupiter Strickland added a bucket.
