Shirley E. Lozano, age 89, of Ft. Madison passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 5:50 AM at The Madison.

She was born on July 17, 1929 in Montrose to Stuart and Thelma Martin Waider. On September 18, 1947 she married Leopoldo “Pi” Lozano and he passed away on October 5, 1994. Shirley

was a homemaker and in her later years worked in the cafeteria at Fort Madison High School. Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing and she loved animals, mostly her cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Raymond) Reyes of Ft. Madison and Linda (Henry) Lozano-DeLuia of Taneyville, MO; two sons, Donald (Janelle) Lozano of Kansas City, MO and Douglas Lozano of Argyle, IA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. The family will meet with friends from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Soldiers’ Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
