Lola Mae Boyer, 88, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 9:58 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at The Madison. She was born on February 7, 1930 in Fort Madison, IA to George H. & Bertha P. Gang Manka. She married Jerry Lee Boyer on October 6, 1950 in Fort Madison, IA.

He preceded her in death on August 28, 2004. She worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company for 11 years and also worked at Mike’s Supper Club & the Americana Bowling Alley. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a great cook and enjoyed camping, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Lola is survived by: 1-daughter: Lue (John) Muth of Fort Madison, IA; 4-sons: Richard (Jan) Boyer of Fort Madison, IA, Jay (Denise) Boyer of West Point, IA, Bill (Connie) Boyer of Fort Madison, IA & Kirk Boyer of Fort Madison, IA; 11-grandchildren & 9-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 1-brother & 4-sisters.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jon Heyland officiating. Burial will be held at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
