Bulldogs get lopsided win over Lady Hounds

MEDIAPOLIS - The Fort Madison varsity girls again found scoring difficult as they fell 69-12 Thursday night to the Lady Bulldogs on the road.

Maddie Rashid hit a three-pointer in the first quarter and Sarah Bernhart added a bucket. Brandy Walker converted a bucket in the second quarter for Fort Madison's only points of the period and the Lady Hounds were down 40-7 at halftime.

Fort Madison would get just two free throws to fall in the third period, one by Kylee Cashman and the other by Walker. Eleesha Estrada would find a 3-pointer for the only Fort Madison points in the final period.

Maya Johnson led Mediapolis with 21 points. MacKenzie Springsteen added 13, and Helaina Hillyard chipped in with a dozen points on the night.

Fort Madison falls to 1-14 on the season. Their Saturday game against Monmouth Roseville has been cancelled due to impending weather. The Lady Hounds' next scheduled game is Friday at Mt. Pleasant.
