Fort Madison Police Report

01/15/19 – 6:25 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 4000 block of Avenue O.

01/15/19 – 7:23 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2000 block of 303rd Avenue.

01/15/19 – 8:45 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft, reported at the police department.

01/15/19 – 6:40 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Avenue G.

01/16/19 – 10:43 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 300 block of 15th Street.

01/16/19 – 10:54 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 700 block of 13th Street.

01/17/19 – 2:14 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1700 block of Avenue G.

01/18/19 – 12:06 a.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Franklin James McCollum, 23, of Fort Madison at the police department on a warrant for 5th-degree theft. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report

01/15/19 – 6:56 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehice accident at the intersections of Hwy 61 and 343rd Avenue where a vehicle driven by Marianne Adewle Kraus, 30, of Keokuk slid sideways on black ice and collided with the rear end of a vehicle driven by Laura Janet Peitz, 32, of Fort Madison. No citations or injuries were reported. Kraus’ vehicle suffered major damage, while Peitz vehicle suffered minor damage.

01/15/19 – 9:49 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Otto Brownlee, 32, of Warsaw, Ill., at the Hancock County Jail and a charge of contempt of court. He was held in custody.

01/15/19 – 11:58 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one vehicle accident. A vehicle driven by Whitney C. Morgan, 30, of Quincy, Ill, slid on icy roads turning northbound onto X32 from Hwy 61. No injuries or citations were reported at the scene.

01/16/19 – 8:23 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bryce Anthony Gunsauls, 32, of LaGrange, Mo., at the Lee County Sheriff’s office on warrants for sexual abuse under 12 years of age, child endangerment with bodily injury, child endangerment without bodily injury. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

01/17/19 – 1:56 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of X23 and 218th Street, where a vehicle driven by Cody Daniel Schneider, 18, of Donnellson lost control and went into a ditch striking a county road sign. No injuries or citations were reported at the scene.

Those listed above are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of  law.

01/15/19 – Fort Madison Firefighters responded to three medical calls,

01/16/19 – Fort Madison Firefighters responded to five medical calls and one false alarm

01/17/19 – Fort Madison Firefighters responded to one medical call, one report of smoke smell, and one power line down.
