Bernice “Annie” Mitchell, age 83 of Keokuk, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 6:09 PM at The Madison.

She was born on February 9, 1935 in Keokuk to George and Nina Hawkins Gilpin. Annie worked at Methode Electronics in Carthage. She enjoyed fishing, reading and playing cards. Annie loved spending time with her family, especially listening to music at the family gatherings.

Survivors include five daughters, Elizabeth Larson of Keokuk, Debbie Jennette of Tallahasse, FL, Linda Laney of Lomax, Nina Kessler of Ft. Myers, FL and Kimberly Swan of Gillespie, IL; two sons, Charlie Mitchell of Pontoosuc and George Mitchell of Keokuk; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; five sisters, Krystal Sherwood, Patty Silk and Nancy Pence all of Dallas City, Joan Dutton of West Burlington and Jane Aegerter of Cedar Rapdis; two brothers, Noland Gilpin of Niota and Larry Gilpin of Dallas City; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Alberta; a brother, Ernie and a sister Alice in infancy.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no formal services at this time, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com
