Man found hiding in Keokuk mall ceiling tiles

KEOKUK - The Keokuk Police Department reports the arrest of 45-year-old, Timothy Lee Thorn of Keokuk. Thorn was taken into custody on 2/6/19 at approximately 5 am on the following charges: Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony; a Lee County warrant for 5th-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor; two Lee County warrants for failure to appear for court hearing, simple misdemeanor.

THORN

On February 6th, at approximately 4:30 am, KPD officers responded to the River City Mall, 300 Main Street, for a burglar alarm. Upon investigation, officers found Thorn inside the building hiding above the ceiling tiles.

Thorn was taken into custody without incident. Thorn faces up to five years in a state correctional facility if found guilty on all charges. This investigation remains active.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
