FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield Lady Trojans capped the season for the Lady Hounds with a 74-35 loss on the road Friday.

The loss sets the regular season mark for the Lady Hounds at 1-19 with a couple games canceled due to the weather. The lone win came at home against Albia back on Jan. 5.

District action begins on Feb 13 against Burlington at BHS.

The Hounds were led by junior Anna Kester who scored 15, including three 3-pointers on the night. Fort Madison didn't get on the board until about two minutes were left in the quarter. Trailing 14-2, the Hounds put up five in the last minute to cut the lead to 14-7.

Fairfield was able to put more distance between the two by holding the Lady Hounds scoreless for about five minutes in the second period and held a 35-14 lead at the half.

The Trojans pushed the lead to 62-24 at the end of three and had the game in hand.

Maddie Rashid had seven points on the night, while Eleesha Estrada had five, and Brandy Walker and Nadia Boeding each had four points.
