8th grade boys wrap up season with loss at Washington

WASHINGTON - Jamiah Williams poured in 18 points and pulled down four rebounds in a 55-47 loss to Washington in the 8th grade boys final 'A' game of the year Tuesday night.

Kane Williams scored 10 and had a rebound in the loss. Jordan Simpson had eight points, while Xander Wellman pitched in with six and Nick Fullencamp had one.

In the 'B' Game, Cade Packard had seven to lead FMMS to a 19-16 win. Aiden Boyer added four points, while Fullencamp, Dane Butler, George Hantzeas and Calviyan all had two in the win.

Fort Madison also won the 'C' game 11-10 behind six points from Tucker, three points from Elijah Gonsalves and two from Cameron Nabors.

Packard scored 13 in a 34-28 win over Ottumwa's "B" team Monday night.

Xander Wellman scored seven, whileButler and Dylan Gilman each scored six. Hantzeas had two points and five rebounds. Tucker also had five boards.

In the "A" game Ottumwa won 43-34. Jamiah Williams put in 15 to lead the Bloodhounds. Simpson scored seven, Kane Williams had six, while Xander Wellman added four and Nick Fullencamp had a bucket.

Jamiah Williams also had 10 rebounds for the Hounds.

Ottumwa also won the "C" game 13-8. Cameron Shutwell, Tucker, Nabors and Gonsalves all had two points in the loss for Fort Madison. Tucker had five rebounds in the game.
