Flora Patton Odom, 93, of West Point, died Monday March 4, 2019 at 4:30 PM at the Klein Center.

Flora was born on July 21, 1925 in the Green Bay Bottoms, IA to Joseph and Frances Haeffner Patton, Sr. She was a member of one of the last graduating classes of the Denmark Academy. On June 24, 1950 she married Ollie Odom in Wever and he passed away on May 8, 1978. Flora farmed with her husband and in her early years worked at Sylvania and as a teller at Wever Bank. She was a member of West Point Presbyterian Church. Flora loved animals and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and faithfully read her Bible every day. Her greatest passion was consistently caring for others.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Michael Odom of West Point and Brad (Veronica) Odom of Orlando, FL; two granddaughters, Summer of Nevada and Ailsa of Minnesota; two great granddaughters; one sister, Ruth Richardson of West Point and a brother in law, John Phillips of Burlington; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.

The visitation will be on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4:30-6:30 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Larry Shipley officiating. Burial will follow in Claypoole Cemetery.
