Roger W. DeBuhr, 85, of Holts Summit, Missouri, formally of Primrose, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Born on December 4, 1933 in Canby, Minnesota, the son of Albert William and Anna Karina (Hegg) DeBuhr. On February 1, 1958, he married Ruth Garrison Eastin in Kirksville, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth; two sons: Roscoe Ray (Jean) DeBuhr of Spokane Valley, Washington, Donald Roger (Sandra) DeBuhr of Jefferson City, Missouri; three grandchildren: Aaron Donald (Kristy) DeBuhr, Nichole Louise (Travis) Allen and Holly Anne (Roy) Williams. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson: Anthony William; a brother: Vernon and a sister: Darlene.
Roger was an United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Central Office Engineer for the telephone company in Donnellson and was member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church. Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1:00 p.m, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson with family present from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 at Sharon Presbyterian Church with Reverend Doctor Mary Anne Welch officiating.
Burial with Full Military Rites by the Donnellson American Legion will be in the Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in his memory to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Sharon Presbyterian Church.
