BURLINGTON - The Nike soccer juggernaut rolled over Fort Madison 10-0 Tuesday night in Burlington.

Javier Trejo was busy at the net recording 15 saves in the game, while allowing 10 goals.

The Nikes have given up just one goal all year in a 0-1 loss to Davenport North at the Fort Madison Invitational on Saturday. They're 3-1 with a 21-1 scoring advantage.

The junior varsity squad tied the Nikes 1-1 with the goal coming from Chris Kistner off a corner kick from Phillip Goldie. Chance Decker had four saves in that game.

On Monday, the Bloodhounds lost a close 3-2 match with visiting Fairfield at the Baxter Sports Complex. No one scored in the first half of the match, but Fairfield scored on back-to-back goals at 6:30 and 7:30, and then again at 9:30 to put Fort Madison on hit's heels.

But the Hounds' Austin Sexton countered with an unassisted shot at the 16-minute mark to cut the lead to 3-1. Sexton would score again off assists from Brody Run and Will Gager at 27:30 to set the final score.

Trejo had eight saves in the game.

The Hounds are 1-3 on the year and host a junior varsity tournament on Saturday at Baxter Sports Complex. The boys varsity returns to action Monday with a trip to Keokuk.
