Thomas C. Ensminger, 71, of Ft. Madison passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 4:55 PM at the Great River Hospice House.

ENSMINGER

He was born on January 4, 1948 in Keokuk to Ray and Dorothy Stockwell Ensminger. On February 6, 1971 he married Susan Wells in Montrose. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. Tom was a sheet metal worker for twenty two years. He was a lead welder and a certified sheet metal worker. Tom worked for Mid American Energy from 1986-2013. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, arrowhead collecting and being outdoors. He had a great sense of humor and a lot of common sense. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Ensminger of Ft. Madison; two grandchildren, Kayla Jordan of Des Moines and Austin Ensminger of Ft. Madison; two sisters, Pat French of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Janice Einfeldt of Carrizozo, New Mexico; one brother, Philip Ensminger of Hollister, MO; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Nathan.

   Friends may call after 2 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet friends from 4:30-6 PM. A celebration of life will be held at 6 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Jake Kramer officiating.
