John E. Stauffer,age 63 of Ft. Madison passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

STAUFFER

   He was born on July 26, 1955 in Ft. Madison to Richard and Mary Christine Young Stauffer.  John retired from ISP after several years of service.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Iowa Hawkeye fan.  John enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a fan of rock and roll music.  His greatest love was his family, especially his amazing grandsons.

   Survivors include two daughters, Nicole (Andrew Stivers) Stauffer of Bennington, NE and Holly (Kurt Ritter) Stauffer of Cape Girardeau, MO; three grandsons, Elijah, Ethan and Lucas; one brother, Robert (Julie) Stauffer of Fairfax, IA; two sisters, Sharon (Ken) Porter of Golden, CO and Peggy (Gary) Ort of Allen, TX; several nieces, nephews and his beloved neighbor Phyllis.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

   Friends may call after 3 PM on Monday, April 15, 2019 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4:30-6:30 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 10:30 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dann Masden officiating. The family would like anyone who is attending John’s funeral to please wear Hawkeye or Cardinal fan gear.
