King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary – Rita Jane Beach, 67, of Fort Madison


Rita Jane Beach, 67, of Ft. Madison passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 6:30 PM at her home.


   She was born on October 29, 1951 in Ft. Madison to Carl and Lucille Kenne Denning.  On September 1, 1984 she married Kenneth Beach in Houghton, IA. In her early years she worked at Lampe Drug and then helped her husband on their farm.  Rita was of the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed quilting, going to Kalona and baking.  She loved her crime TV shows and watching the Hallmark station.  She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and helping her husband on the farm. 

    Survivors include her husband, Ken Beach of Ft. Madison; two sons, Lucas Beach of Quincy, IL and Michael (Rachel) Beach of Ft. Madison; one granddaughter, Mae Beach; four sisters, Pat Richenberger of Mt. Pleasant, Kathy (Don) Petersen of Chicago, IL, Joan (Joe) Kiefer of Keswick, IA and Diane (Alan) Ralston of Moville, IA; one sister in law, Sarah Denning of Rock Falls, IL; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tom.

   Friends may call after 2 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4:30-6:30 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
