Crusader boys knock off Central Lee

DONNELLSON - Blake Crabtree recorded 19 saves in Holy Trinity Catholic's 1-0 win over Central Lee in boys high school soccer action Tuesday night in Donnellson.

Audrae Vincent found the net with just seven minutes left in regulation for the only goal of the game, his 12th of the year.

Crabtree now has 38 saves in just two days, with the Crusaders coming off a tough 2-0 loss to 8-1 Burlington Notre Dame Monday night.

Not including Tuesday night's performance, Crabtree leads the state in Class 1A with 74 saves on the year, and through Monday night was 4th in all classes in Iowa. Davenport West's Dalton Carstens has 136.

Vincent is tied for 3rd in Class 1A with 12 goals and is second among 1A schools with 33 points. Two points are awarded for goals and one point for assists and Vincent has nine assists.

The Crusaders are off until Tuesday, April 23 when they host Columbus at South Park in West Point.
