FORT MADISON - Holy Trinity's Josh Barr and Ali Robu both shot a 45 on the front nine at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course to lead the Crusaders over Van Buren in the dual meets.

Robu's 45 was good enough for medalist honors in the girls meet. Robu is the only girl playing for HTC, but outpaced Van Buren's Kolbie Bass, who shot a 51.

Barr's 45 was one stroke ahead of Kyle Bredemeyer to take top honors for Holy Trinity, but Van Buren's Jacob Plecker and Clayton Bruckman shot a 40 and 41 respectively for medalist and runner-up honors.

However, the Crusaders got a couple of 48s from Trevor Mohrfeld and Colby Bredemeyer for a 187 team score, which was six shots better than the Warriors.

Team scoring takes the top four individual scores. Mason Holvoet shot a 51 and Brandon Delaney carded a 50, but didn't make the team scoring.

The boys will host Fort Madison and Central Lee in a triangular meet on Thursday, again at Sheaffer's.
